Hi there,
would be very grateful for any help.
i have been using BCM and currently have several hundred contacts and
histories contained within it. BCM has been giving me a few problems lately
and so i have just downloaded a new piece of contact managerment software
(Avidian Prophet). since i have downloaded this my outlook has freaked out,
won't open (even in safe mode) and the error message says that there is a
problem with BCM. i have since then disabled BCM and uninstalled Avidian in
the hope that i could at least open outlook but this hasn't worked. all my
pst files and BCM files are backed up. Please can someone help me to
uninstall BCM and install Avidian.
? if i uninstall Outlook BCM will all the information/history attached to
each contact be lost?
thanks.

You can uninstall BCM with the Programs applet in Control Panel.

If you uninstall BCM, your data will be left behind on the machine, in
a Sql Server database file. Uninstall will not delete the data. That
database remains accessible with Sql Server tools, but Outlook won't
know about it.

If you reinstall BCM, BCM can use that database again.
