Wow, the BCM Smartphone sync is here. Very happy, but how do I get
the numbers to be dialed? ie. When i start to type the letters of a
Business Contact, the number for the contact doesn't seem to come up.
Does caller id work? It seems like the Business Contacts are a
island.

I haved used the Pocket PC Phone version for BCM and in that the Business
Contacts are synched to a separate application on the device from the Outlook
contacts. Is the Smartphone edition for BCM similar to this or are the
Business Contacts synched together into the same device location as the
contact apps?

The reason I ask is because the Pocket PC Phone version was very rudimentary
and limited in function as compared to the normal Outlook contacts on the
mobile device. There was no caller ID or quick dial, 1 handed lookup, etc.
I hope that the Smartphone version isn't as lame of a design.

Yes, it is looking like the "lame design" is what are left with. Who
wants to press 12 button-strokes to dial a number? This is silly.

And the main reason that I want to have the BCM on the Smartphone is
to see who is calling me. I guess this is not a possibility???

Lame, well put.

It is like far too often MS just pushes these releases out the door as a bone
to toss to users without somehow thinking these things through more
thoroughly from the end users experience.
