When you say "suddenly lost connection", then your shared database was
running and available until BCM started up? Do users on other machines
remain connected to that database?

Is this BCM version 2? for Office 2003 or BCM V3 for 2007? If your still
running V1 you may want to upgrade this happened alot with that. Assuming
your database is backed up, you might try removing the relationship to your
database under file data file managment and then re adding a bcm database..
choose to reconnect to the old database...but then again it could be currupt.

right - bad choice of words.

it doesn't connect at all when Outlook BCM opens. i get the alert right away
before the program opens fully. i meant "suddenly" as in, it's been
connecting for the past several months, and just quit over the past few days.

no network - no other machines...

ok, yes, it's V3 for 2007.

i tried to attach the BCM db data file and i'm told to enable BCM from the
start menu, but i've tried to uninstall and reinstall and it's not in my
Start Menu - how else can i "enable" BCM...?
