Hi Fenris

What is the exact window that pop up is it the windows installer screen or
for BCM ?Go to start > run > Outlook /safe and see if the issue occurs. Also
if it a windows installer screen go to start > run > msiexec /unregister and
then msiexec /regserver .Go to services.msc and check the status of
MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM (for version 1) or MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ (for version 2)
and make sure it is set to started.Hope this help.

With Regards

Raul,

Many thanks, the pop up is the standard windows installer asking for disk 1
(actually its about 10 pop ups of exactly the same type)

I've followed your instructions and the results were

Outlook /safe = no reaction

msiexec reg etc. = no reaction that I can see

MSS$MICROSOFTBCM is started and set to automatic

The error turns up only when I load another peice of software so I'll need
to wait for a while until I know the result.

Thanks for the update you did say that it was prompting for a disk 1 Can you
check what happens after you insert disk 1 and do a detect and repair of
the application and see if it still prompts
