I get this message evertime outlook starts up:

business contact manager "object reference not set to an instance of an
object"

then i click ok for that error then its says "BCM has a reported a error and
needs to close."

At this point error reporting is started and done and I can navigate inside
of outlook except for anything with BCM. Like if i click on the "contacts"
link in outlook then outlooks reports a error and has to click. If i click
on help and BCM Help then outlooks reports a error and closes. I was finally
able to click on contacts for like a minute before outlook closed and noticed
all my bcm contacts where listed twice. So im thinking somewhere and somehow
outlook duplicated everything for bcm and causing the problem. I dont know
where to begin to start fixing this.

Thanks

Have you tried searching the newsgroup? Perhaps someone else has run
into this before.

Yes,

I searched the forum extensively, but no one has said they had this problem
coupled with duplicates of all contacts. The most popular answer has been to
update to 2.0 but this did not solve the problem. All repairs have not
worked either. After like 5 attempts to start outlook with bcm it will
disable bcm and show a iris.dll in the disable items list. Again all this
does it allow me to use outlook normally, but not bcm. Is there a newer
version of outlook instead of 2003 with bcm?

Hi

For the error message that you stated can you try installing the following
hotfix
