BCM shared on multiple pcs are not updating shared OA2007 and vice versa
(using SBS2003). We CAN update a field and it will show up on another pc,
however, the two programs are not updating each other.

Is there a design reason why the address field or phone field in BCM won't
update the address field or phone field in OA2007 (and vice versa) or is my
synchronizing not working?

BCM v2 only pulls data from OA when the user requests it. OA will
handle automatic sync with BCM v3.

Hello,

I am running BCMv3 and it is not updating the address or phone field. It
will not update the email address either. I found this Knowledge Base
Article that addresses the issue. It can be done, but it is not automatic,
unless I am reading something wrong.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/835317

Am I interpreting it wrong? This started when we went to change information
in OA2007 and realized it was not updating BCM. So we had two versions of
data. I just questioned why. I have had some other issues, so that is why
I am wondering about the syncrhonization and now the way the programs work
together.

Welcome to the joys of "seamless integration" as defined and designed by MS!

You should ask OA what's up, as they are the ones doing the
synchronization with BCM.

You should ask MS what's up, as they are the ones doing both BCM and OA.
