It may work if the server is powerful enough, your data not too
complex (e.g. the number of history on opportunities that are also
parented by Business Contacts and Accounts), and the users not making
too many demands on the database (e.g. they open a Contact form when a
customer calls versus running reports across all the Contacts).
But you swimming against the tide. BCM is designed to work with a
maximum of five shared users, and is optimized show updates in all
five Outlook/BCMs within a second or so. That puts a load on the
database that increases faster than linearly as you add users.
MSCRM, on the other hand, is optimized to perform adequately with a
larger number of users, and also has features you'll want with more
users, like user management, setting permissions by role, and so on.
