I have just upgraded my graphics card from a geforce 2 ti to a geforce 6600 256. This played the demo of BF2 fine.

So i buy the full version and install it then double click on the icon on the desktop and it cuts to the BF2 splash screen which is fine. Then it cuts to the desktop and nothing happens.

I have tried clicking on the icon lots of times and sometimes the game will run with no problem , but most of the time it sits at the desktop with nothing happening.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

try patching the game and updating your graphics card drivers

try this, it seems to be quite a common problem
