Has anyone managed to get Battlefield 1942 running? I have tried it Windowed
and full screen with no luck. The game seems fine until you actually try to
spawn then it crashes

Try updating to the latest version. If that doesn't work Right-Click on the
shortcut to Battlefield and select Properties. Click the Compatilbility Tab
and check the box to 'Enable Compatibility Mode'. Try tick the other boxes,
but not 'Run in 640x480' unless you really want to. This may fix the problem.

Yes, I've had BF1942 running without any problem. The system is a Sempron
2400, 2 gigs RAM, 6600LE 256meg vid card.

semms to me bf1942 only works in NVIDIA based cards, prolly someting to do
with the ATI drivers, it wont work for me cuz i hav ATi, Of course i am not
100% correct about this, its just a theory!

I've run it under both, an ATI 7200 (under 98SE) and a nVidia TI4800SE
(under XP Pro).
