I just got a Dell 700m with Windows XP. Since it's a laptop, it has a
battery meter in the lower right hand corner. I've worked with other laptops
before and when you put the cursor over the battery meter icon, it will tell
you how many hours you have left. However, on this laptop, it only gives a
percentage of the battery left. I've tried looking at the options and
everything, but I can't find anything about changing it to say how many hours
you have left. Does anybody know how to change this or if you can? Thanks!

This has nothing to do with Windows. It is a function of the laptop's power
management. Some show hours. Some don't. Contact Dell.

Hover shows percentage - but if you double-click the icon, you get a
window that shows details, including remaining time estimate.

Note - to reply by email, please reformat the addressee (should be pretty obvious)
