Hi
Following a large update from windows my laptop, a sony, no longer displays
the power setting on the taskbar, I have been into properties/notification
but the power buttton is greyed out and cannot be selected.
Any ideas would be most welcome

You're not the only one experiencing this sort of issue. I suspect the
"large update" was Service Pack 1. Go to Sony's tech support website for
your specific model laptop to get updated power management software. If
there isn't any, you might try reinstalling the power management software
or contact Sony tech support for when they are going to provide updated
software.

Thanks Malke - not the news I wanted to hear but at least you have explained
the root cause.
Thanks again
