I could have my computer plugged in to charge while I am using my computer
but it will not charge, however, it will charge when my computer is off. Is
there a setting to change this?

some batteries have a have a safety to stop them charging if they are to hot
, try turning on your computer whilst it is charging and see how long before
it stops , then check if the battery is hot
