Can someone please direct me to above.
Initially I want to create a slide show optimised for best quality. Images
will come from a 6mp digital camera.
Assumedly these jpegs would be 'reduced' in a photoshop action to a 'best
size for maximum quality', then MM2 saved to CD to be played thru a DVD/TV.
Emphasis is on optimising the 'collections' file of pictures.

I don't know about a FAQ, but here are a couple things to be aware of before
you start creating your slide show.

1. The resolution of your 6Mp photos will be reduced to approx. 0.3 Mp,
then compressed using a compression algorithm that is optimized for motion
video. The quality of the photos in your final slide show will be pretty
poor.

2. MM2 can not save your slide show to a CD that would be playable in any
standard DVD player. You would need to use a third party application to
convert your MM2-produced video to VCD or SVCD format.

Since you mentioned playing back your slide show via a DVD player, you might
find you get better results using specialized software such as Ulead's DVD
PictureShow.

The conversion to DVD, SVCD, or VCD format will still reduce the final
resolution -- no matter what resolution you used when you saved your movie
in MM2.

Don't bother trying to get MM2 to work, it's by MS and
next to useless. Get a real program like ProShow Gold ,
it's excellent for slide shows and records SVDC on CD-R
for playing back on TV

Check out www.the-kellys.org and go take a look at the Video section for
a couple of examples of using MM2 to create a slide show (The images were
either from a 2MP camera or scabbed from 35mm film using the cannon FS2710
film scanner at 2710 dpi. Video's to look at would be "Warwick Castle", "Old
Snaps", "France" and "Mexico"

MM2 does an excelent job, especially when you consider what we all paid
for it!!

Many Regards.....

I assume the very determined giraffe was just going after the very
determined camel

PapaJohn

Would you like me to add a link to your site on my Online... Video page of
www.papajohn.org, in the Video Samples section?
