Does Outlook 2007 need Microsoft Office 2007?

I purchased Outlook 2007 but only have a trial version of Microsoft Office
2007.

Do I have to purchase Microsoft Office 2007?

I do have Microsoft Works on my computer...

thank you

Hi Kathleen,
You require word application for

>perform spell check

Microsoft works can be used to install office 2007 without any previous
version of office installed.

I suspect Raj means Works may qualify for an Office Upgrade version

No. You can purchase Outlook 2007 in a stand-alone package.

This may not be relevant. Some versions of Works Suite contain a version of
Word and some versions of Outlook could make use of the spell check that was
included, but I'm doubtful that Outlook 2007 can use it. Except for that,
though, Words and Outlook do not interact in any way.
