basic queries on moviemaker

I have moviemaker 1.1 which came with my version of XP home and I am just
starting to use it.
I have opened an mpeg and trimmed some unwanted material from the start. It
all looks ok
Now what - how do I save the trimmed part of the clip? I must be missing
something very obvious but I can't seem to find how to save the reaults of
editing.
Also when I load an mpeg, it splits it up into a number of clips - I presume
due to memory requirements. If I trim some off the end off the last clip, do
I have to combine all the clips and then save them (again how?) to get the
final trimmed mpeg in one piece?

I have tried to get a version of moviemaker 2 but can not find any link on
the microsoft download page for moviemaker. Does anyone know of an
alternative site?

Thanks a lot
Chris

File -> Save Movie...

Do it agin, File -> Import, Now look closely at the bottom of the dialog,
there is "Import options: Create clips for video files". Unselect that and
you will get a single clip.
