I have a wireless router connect to DSL MODEM.
I connect a desktop (Windows 2000) and a laptop(Vista) to the Router
wirelessly.oblem is
I use CAT 5e cable Connect a printer to the Router.

I can access internet fine from both computers, but cannot share files and
printer.
I cannot see any file in desktop from laptop, also I cannot access priter
from computer. it?

Do I have to install some software fo

Please help

Before you can access shared resources that reside on another machine, you
must establish that you have proper networking connectivity. It's like the
phone: Before you can talk to the person at the far end you must ensure that
your phone is connected to the other phone.

To check your connectivity, you should open a Command Prompt on each machine
and type these commands:
ipconfig /all
ping aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd

The first command will tell you (among other things) the IP address of your
machine, e.g. 192.168.1.39.

The second command will send test packets to the other machine. In it you
must replace "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd" with the IP address of the other machine. The
previously used ipconfig commands will tell you what this address is.
