I finally saw some solutions (I've lost my games under
accessories)in the postings. One says to check the boxes
under control panel>add/remove programs, etc. They were
already checked. I unchecked them >ok then rechecked them
and it says I need to reload them from the install CD.
I'm concerned that it'll "use up" my allowed usages of the
CD and I'd like to save them for more important uses.
Will taking games from the CD "use up" one of my allowed
uses of the CD?

There are no "maximum allowed uses" of your Windows CD. Though XP
requires you to activate your copy of Windows within a certain time, the CD
itself never expires. Add/Remove Windows Components utilizes your Windows XP
CD in the event that a program or feature has been removed or not previously
installed before, regardless of how many times it has been used.
In fact, your CD could be used on any Windows XP installation (a
friend's or a co-worker's, perhaps) to install any components not present on
their system. I'm not sure if usage of your CD in that respect is legal
(Question for Chris H.: Is it?), but in any case, you should be fine.

Hope that helps
