Hello everyone!

I've been working for a while on a new version of my firewall, and I've
combined the features people liked from version 1 (for Win9x) and 2
(WinXP). I've mainly designed this firewall to manage outgoing
connections.

Note: this firewall is only compatible with Windows XP (or any other
NT5 platform such as Win2k and Win2k3)

Download link:
http://rapidshare.de/files/27906693/...setup.exe.html

Any feedback is appreciated. Please also read the notes before
installing (after accepting the disclaimer in the installation it'll
give some general information).

Hope you like it.

I see that if you uncompress this it can work as a stand-alone or portable
firewall.

If this is truly the case here is a small nitch you may take advantange of
to
make your product known. Make a portable version, in a zip file and post it
on
sites that have portable applications.

I can promote it for you too when I get some things I am working on
together...

Some people (including me) are looking out for portable apps, and a firewall
does not exist yet.

A free tip from a friend....

This would indeed work as a portable application. Thanks for the tip
:-)
I guess you could even run it from a memory stick.

For version 3.0.3 I'll provide a .ZIP aswell, so you can just unzip it
anywhere and run it directly. If you'd put it on a USB stick, it'd
remember your rules anyway.

Thanks again.

there was someone here who was looking for a portable firewall...

There is a site that has portable apps..

www.portableapps.com that has lots of traffic perhaps they would post it
there among the other applications.

I could say a lot about why portable apps have a great future.... but
another time perhaps.. in another place....

As I said my offer stands. I can post a link to your app from my sites,

or help you with other things.

Good luck with that firewall. It indeed looks promising...

A few more small requests/suggestions...

1. Allow one to sort the application list by different fields (EXE Name,
Full Path, Status). I'm always cleaning up my firewall (Kerio 2.1.4) to get
rid of "allowed" setup applications in my "Downloads" folder. If I could
sort the list by "Full Path", then I can highlight all the apps in the
"Downloads" folder and remove them.

2. Change the SysTray icon when the Firewall protection services are
Paused... this way one can see that it's disabled and enable it.

3. Add Start & Stop Firewall protection services to the SysTray menu

Thanks!
