Dear cambo:
There are different types of barcode readers: if you use the "wedge" type,
it connects to the keyboard port of the computer (using a splitter cable)
and shares the keyboard port with the keyboard. When you scan a barcode, it
is transmitted to the computer as if it had been typed on the keyboard. So,
it makes no difference to Access whether the number comes in from a scan or
typed from the keyboard.
