Whatever the bar is at the bottom of the desktop screne is gone. i tried the
other fixes from someone else's reply but it wont work.. help...

It's called the taskbar. What fixes did you try? When did this happen?
What changes occurred between the time it was present and when it was gone?
Have you tried a System Restore to a time right before the problem started?

What fixes did you try to get the Taskbar back?
Did you try the simple method of pressing the Windows key or Ctrl+Esc
to get the Start Menu and Taskbar active?
