Can some please advise how I can convert old outlok express .bak files
into .dbx files. I have lost my data and this is the only file I have

Try just renaming them to have the .dbx extension instead of .bak (while OE
is closed). Then reopen OE.

How did you create the .bak files?

Note that OE questions should be addressed to the gurus in the Outlook
Express newsgroups -

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
