A friend called and said I had sent him a message that contained
a virus called Bagle.Y but the header contained an address, that
although similar to mine wasn't exact .. I did a full scan and there
is nada..

I've tried to find a fix it program for this virus/worm but can't find
any of the major Anti-virus companies who list this worm..

The have the W32.Beagle.(a through x) but nothing on Y..

There is also an I.Bagle.Y that comes up on Google but
nothing on how to get rid of it..

Any help out there?

Thanks..

Symptom and files names described here:

Should be _very_ easy to tell if you're actually infested or not.

Perhaps/probably the virus was sent by a third person who is infested
and has both your adresses in his adressbook. If your avirus is up to
date,.. i would not worry.
Else try Stinger that recognized Beagle... I assume also vesrion Y
