BAFO PC-Linq Problem

I have used the BAFO Technologies PC-Linq program for some time
successfully to synch files between my laptop and desktop.

Now it has stopped responding and I suspect it is because I have
disabled some services in my XP desktop.

Any ideas on which one it may be? The PC-Linq program shows up as a USB
Bridge Cable in Device Manager and it is present on both machines but
they will not connect.
