Cannot connect to the internet,and getting the above error.

Using Win XP Pro

I've altered the msconfig for startup, but that didn't fix
it - any other help would be appreciated.

Why did you "...[alter] the msconfig..."?

How does your computer connect to the internet? Via modem, AOL, a LAN, or
....? What is your network configuration?

Exactly what appears on the monitor when you "...[get] the above error"? In
what window or dialog box does it appear?

Thought maybe it was a startup issue, but changing
msconfig didn't change anything. Connected by cable
modem - no network. The page tries to connect and just
hangs. The error is on the bottom.
