I see you're posting to both XP and Vista newsgroups; which one are you
actually using?

Did you recently install new software or drivers?

Why did you post to a Vista and an XP newsgroup--is your laptop dual booted
with both systems?

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms796120.aspx explains the error
code. Most likely you have a bad driver installed or maybe buggy software

Surely there is more to the message than just that.

Full message will be needed for anyone to be able to help you.

A full message will help but the BAD_POOL_CALLER error is likely a
memory problem. Run a memory test program (such as
http://www.memtest86.com/, Google for others). If this shows problems
and you have more that one memory module then remove them one at a time
and rerun the memory test until you identify which one is faulty.

Hi,

BAD_POOL_CALLER is a driver error. Did you recently update one or plug in a
new piece of hardware? What are you doing with the system when it happens?
How long has it been happening?
