I just got a Sony 460 DV camera and am excited about the opportunity to create short movies. When I capture DV AVI video into WMM2 it plays fine until I drop it on the timeline ~ it then slows down, drops out audio, etc. I tried a simple slide show of B&W images with an audio track underneath (total 6MB) and it plays fine through the timeline.

However, when I go to record it back on my camcorder, it drops out images, transitions, audio, etc. I have 256MB RAM and 1 GHz CPU..is this fast enough to run WMM2? ~ even though Microsoft says 600 MHz can run it

Is there anything I can do to make this work more smoothly besides buy a faster computer?
