is there a way to check the ram sticks to see if one is
bad. when the computer boots up, it gos through the ram
check and sometimes it will show full memory and other
tiems it will show only half of it. when i do a dxdiag i
get teh same thing, only showing half of my ram. all ram
chips are firmly locked in place. i did have a virus
called Win32.Pini which infects the ram at the registery
but norton has fully removed it. im still thinking i have
problems with the ram chips themselves. any ideas on how
to check them out?

Place a formatted floppy in the floppy drive. In the Memtest folder, double
click Install.bat. Follow any prompts from there.
