Hello FrontPage experts!

Having difficulty updating pages on an existing site via FTP through FP2003.
Our Server Extensions are broken right now & we're working around this by
updating pages on a network share, then publishing changed files via FTP
through our FP2003. Seemed to work fine over a week ago, but now I'm unable
to on one computer.

Problem exists only on one computer. Another computer in the office can take
same steps to update pages with no errors. I can publish said files to new
locations via FTP, but unable to get FP to publish into existing file
structure.

I can move files in with 3rd party FTP client, as well as through Explorer,
but the FP FTP publish is not cooperating. I'm not sure what parameter it may
be referring to.

I've tried the FP cleaner as described in this forum & have also tried
uninstalling and re-installing FP2003. What else should I be checking?

Thank you,

Paul

Update:

I've also tried entering the IP address (with and without port number) for
the FTP server to publish through FP. I've tried numerous files from
different directories, and have tried publishing a new test file, all
resulting with same error message.

The only time I can publish through FP to this server is if its copied to
outside of the existing directory structure of the site (i.e. uploading a
page to a higher directory than the html folder where the site lives).

Only my copy of FP2003 has this issue with this particular site. Other FTP
clients on this system & other machines running FP2003 and FP2002 can copy to
this site via FTP. I can edit other sites with working extensions in the
normal way.

I'm eager to hear any suggestions any may have.

Update 2:

I've discovered a way to workaround this error I've been continuously
receiving. I'd been trying to publish by right-clicking on a file or group of
files, and choosing "Publish Selected Files". I'd enter in the info for my
FTP server & would always get the Bad Parameter error. I've tried multiple
variations on the options for publishing to FTP server, but all with the same
result.

I can click on View>Remote Site to see the windows comparing files between
the local and remote sites & the publish/synchronize interface. Nearly all of
them say "conflict" under the status column.

I am able to right click on changed files in the local site list and select
"Publish Selected Files" from this interface, and files are copied correctly
and without error. So... I can publish from this view, but not from the
folder list like normal?

With this extra info, perhaps someone has a suggestion for what may be
incorrectly set on my FP2003?

Thank you,
Paul
