Bad IP address

I have deleted NIS and I have done a system restore back to Monday when
everything was running fine. I still have a bad IP address (automatic
configuration IS checked) and I still can not run "ipconfig /renew". It
seems like the machine is unable to contact the DHCP server.

What could be causing this problem and how do I fix it?
