I have tried twice to install win2k on a 266mhz pentium
with 160mb of memory and a 10g hard drive. Everything
seems to be ok at first but the os get flacky over time.
For instance outlook and office won't run says they need
to be insatlled. The modem wont hang up. ect Any
suggestions?

Sounds like the machine would not be the problem, Soapy. It must be
something you're doing. Have these been clean installs on a freshly
formatted partition? If not - if you've upgraded an earlier system - the
upgrade process may have carried over some bad or corrupted system
settings (or wrong device drivers) that will make W2k roll over slowly
and eventually play dead.
