Some of the icons visible in the start menu have sudently mutated.
Many of the icons visible in the list under Start-->Programs... have
been replaced with the generic folder icon. The window displayed when
I click on "My Computer" has a bad icon for "Control Panel" The icon
is a black square except when its selected then it displays an arrow.
It seems like some files or pointers are corrupted but I don't know
where the chain begins. All of my desktop icons look OK. I've run
disk checks and the disk structure is in order. I am running Windows
2000 5.00.2195 sp4. Is there any documentation on this?
Thanks,
