hi,

i'm running into a problem with the harddisc on my windows xp
prof system. one directory seems to contain 2 files, that have
become un-accessible. the event-viewer names event id 7 from
source disk and the description, that the harddisc has a bad
block. i bumped into it, while running a backup-program, which no
longer could read the directory and halted.

what can i do best now? is there a way to remove this
un-accessible directory from the system and isolate the bad
block?

thanx, gerard
