Backwards compatibility: Vista to XP

I've been trying to do some research on this topic but haven't really been
able to find anything.

I'm trying to determine what, if any, issues might be experienced once a
company begins developing software to run on Vista. Might there be issues
running these applications on XP?

Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

That's an awfully broad question. Of course there might be errors. Or
not. It would depend on the application and how it was written.

You would probably be better off posting in a developers' newsgroup and
giving them a lot more detail about your apps. Here is a list of all the
