My group search keyword: DVDRoxioBackup

I can read/write to my DVD-RW fine using Roxio "Drag to disk"
(formerly DirectCD) v6.x just fine. But when I look in available
devices to backup to, only my C: drive is listed.

I've seen others are using it for this purpose, so I'm wondering what
I'm doing wrong here??? What do I need to do to get XP to recognize
the drive?

So far I've been backing up to C: and then copying the backup file to
the DVD-RAM drive (I guess that's what it actually is...any comments
on this?). However, last backup was 61MB shy of filling up the DVD
entirely and I want it to swap media.

The backup utility built-in to XP does not recognize optical drives of
anyh sort. You will need to purchase a third party backup such as
Stomp's Back Up My PC to be able to backup to an optical drive (CD-R
or DVD).
