Why remove SP3? Leave it in place and replace ntbackup only. Since
ntbackup.exe comes under the umbrella of the "System File Protection"
scheme, the simplest way would be to put the SP2 version into your own
folder (e.g. into c:\Tools) and invoke it specifically there. If you try to
overwrite it direction then it will be overwritten by the SP3 version within
a few seconds. You could get around the system file proection but it's a
little tedious.
