A while back I was able to back up single files to a CD. Lately, I cannot do
that, when I copy the files I want onto a CD and the system states to Write
pending files onto the CD, I do, but then everything goes crazy, sometimes it
will not recognize that there is a CD already in the drive or it will state
that the CD is corrupted when is brand-new. I've wasted about 15 brand-new
CDs trying to save a single file.

So, having all these problems, I decided to purchase an external backup
software. I purchased Express Burn, since I already have the WavePad from its
same software. At first, it worked, now is giving me crazy feedback as above.

I have come to the conclusion that it is my computer that for some reason is
unstable and giving me different kinds of garbage information at random.

I have a non-profit organization and backing up our system is very important
on a daily basis. Yes, I can purchase an external backup drive, which I'm
planning to, but I'm talking about been able to do single file backups....
it's so simple, yet, I cannot do it!

Can someone please help me... very soon, before something happens to my
computer and I lose all my organization's information?

Thanks,

Lourdes

Ever thought the drive itself might be going defective?
