How to turn off the backup feature. I cannot remember how I turned it on
now I want it off... Please help?

Did you setup a scheduled task for backup? Select "Help and Support" from the Start menus. Do a lookup search on "Scheduled Tasks overview". It will show you how to stop a scheduled task, or change a task.
