Is there a way to backup directories and files created in the past x number
of days, like the VMS command does? I don't know vb and c++ and just want to
back up the past 7 days of a directory using xcopy in a .cmd file

Hi

I suggest you look into the command line tool Robocopy.exe

Robocopy.exe is in the free Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

(The kit will install on WinXP or later, the individual files can
then be copied to other computers if needed)

Robocopy.exe will work fine on Win2k, WinXP and Win2k3 Server.

See rktools.chm and robocopy.doc for documentation for Robocopy.exe.
