Hi,

Thanks for helping in advance. I am deep in computer hell.

I have been restoring Windows data to my C: drive from an
E: drive. This process worked ok, although not everything
is restored ... but no problemo, I can reload programs and
copy/paste other stuff. This is not my problem.

The issue is this morning I had Windows XP Pro do a "full"
backup to the E: drive. The process kicked up an error
window saying something about creating a floppy or else
the restore can't be used. Ok I abended the process
thinking I will re-do it tonight and I'll have a floppy
ready in the drive.

Much to my irateness Windows is now telling me my E: drive
is not formatted. It sure damn well was formatted with
NTFS and a bunch of good files residing on it.

What happpened to my drive? Why is in now un-formatted?
Can I salvage the data somehow with some type of restore
utility?

The drive checks good with a Ghost integrity check. I
don't this is a physical problem with the drive.

Thanks,

Jim L.
