I am trying to back up files to a CD-R (fresh out of the box) following
directions "Windows XP Backup Made Easy" by Ed Bott. I get as far as naming
the file (TheftBD.bkf) and I get an error message: "Backup file could not be
used" - "D:\Backup\TheftDB.bkf"
Any suggestions?
Thanks, dan

Windows native backup utility will not work if you try to set the
destination to an optical drive. To use it effectively, you need to
set the destination for your saveset to a drive location and after
the backup is completed then burn the module to CD-R.
