I don't know if this is what you were looking for or if it is the prescribed
method, but it's how I do it.

Select menu File > Import and Export > Outlook

- Choose 'Export to a file' then click Next
- Choose 'Personal Folder File (.pst) then click Next
- Select the directory you wish to back-up (ie, Contacts) then click Next
- Select path for back-up file and click Finish

Repeat as needed if you wish to back-up another directory selecting the
appropriate directory.

You can do this for the Personal Folders and select the 'Include subfolders'
option and only go through the process once.

Hi Delta,

I came across this today and thought about your request. I don't know how
well it works but it appears to be another way to skin the proverbial cat.
Be careful of the wrap.

Delta:

Backup the whole Outlook.pst file it will be easier when having to restore
for it also holds all your settings and configs that you may have done.
