Is there a way to way to backup the address book from Outlook Express
in an automated way? Something like Netscape's address book which is in
one file. (I want to save it to a floppy)

Thanks.

File; export, use comma deliminated for best use for most programs.

Scheduled Tasks is made just for that everything. I just tried it for the
first time and it looks real nice. You can back it up daily or weekly or
whatever. Check it out.

1. OE automatically maintains a back-up of your Address Book
(username.wab~). See http://www.insideoe.com/files/wab.htm

[In WindowsXP, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as
hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show Hidden
Files and Folders under Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > View.]

2. You can export the Address Book as a WAB file via File > Export > Address
Book (WAB) > ...

3. You can export the Address Book as a CSV file via File > Export > Other
address book > ...

YW. To import the WAB file, copy it to the HDD of the machine in question,
remove any Read Only attribute it may have, then import it via Address Book
File > Import > Other address book.

NB: Folders and Groups neither export nor import.
