Is there an easy quick way to backup local profiles (C:\Documents and
Settings\local profile) across the network without having to reboot
and log on with a different ID?

When I try and just copy/paste the profile to a network drive, I
always get the message files are in use, even though all applications
are closed. I'm assuming they are system files that are in use, but
I'm hoping there is a way to quickly back it up as we have 4 computers
in the house and I backup the profiles off each of the 4 pcs to our
version of a "server".

Thank you

I did try the windows backup/restore but noticed that no matter how
many files selected, it compresses all of them into a single backup
file.

Is there a program that does volume shadow copies so that you can copy
a local profile while still logged on with that profile that will also
make a file by file copy and not compress the backup into a single
file?
