Backup a hard drive with 'dd' for Windows ?

Hi,
A few days ago I asked a question regarding backup/restore
software (allowing to restore entire disk images from an
external USB disk when booting from a boot CD...). I saw
that there are implementations of 'dd' for Windows: anybody
ever experimented backups using this small utility ?
