Hi all
Has anyone got an idea how I can get the WinXP backup to recognise that I
have a DVD writer that I want to use for backup? Presumably is its derived
from Veritas it can also span media.thanks

Hi Jim,
You can try to use 3rd party backup software to do the spanning and write to
CD/DVD. You might want to take a look at Backup4all,
http://www.backup4all.com . It's not free as ntbackup but writes to CD/DVD
and has other good features too.

Firestreamer-DVD allows WinXP backup to write directly to DVD. See
http://www.firestreamer.com/fsdvd/

Cheers
