Backup DVD Game

Is there any freeware that will do such a thing? I just bought Sims 2 (DVD
version) and, having paid $50 for the thing, I'd like to be able to put the
original CD away. There isn't a working no-CD patch for it yet, but
generally what I do with my games is make a backup copy and use that for
reinstalls and playing.

No, I'm not into piracy and I'm not going to give it to anyone else.
