Backup crash w/ service account

I have created a BackupUser service account for use with the Backup Utility.
Each time I try to schedule a backup, when I enter the BackupUser account
name and password, the Backup Utility crashes. I am running the utility from
my normal logon account. E.g., while logged on as Will, I enter BackupUser in
the Run As window of the Backup Utility.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution? Is there a way to
inform Microsoft of the problem?

Thanks
