Twice now, I have selected a single ink in a subfolder to delete, and have
found that I eliminated the entire subfolder! This is HIGHLY frustrating!

How do I backup my favorites list so I can simply repair the loss?

And how do I get better control over which links I delete?

Hi,
You can export Favorites fro IE> File> Import and export. The export will be
an HTML file named bookmarks.htm.

You can also simply copy the Favorites folder to another location on the HD,
external storage or CD/DVD, etc.In Windows XP, it should be located at
C:\Documents and settings\{your username}\Favorites.

Hope this helps,
Don

Thank you, very clear -- as far as it goes. And I hadn't thought of it on my
own.

On my new IE7 interface, where do I find the IE/File menu? It has icons for
[HomePage], [Feeds], [Print], [Tools], [Help], [Research], and [Messenger],
as well as [Refresh], [Stop] and [Search]. But where is "File"?

Thank you.
Your Import/Export method is very clear -- as far as it goes. And I hadn't
thought of it on my own. But where is "File" on the IE7 Toolbar? I'd like
to fully understand the software.

Your second idea I can use tonight, so double thanks.

It's under the gold star with a green plus sign to the left of the tabs.
