Backup Automatic Scheduling - Not functioning

I run WindowsXPPro with its installed NTBackup. I have no problem in using
the program to manually back up files, folders, drives etc. However I wish
to append incremental backups by automatically scheduling them. I have used
the wizard to schedule weekly backups. These backups do not appear to be
taking place. I suspect that the problem may be associated with
Administrator rights although I am the only user and also the administrator.
I am happy to provide further information if this can assist with resolving
the problem.

Many thanks in advance

I just wanted to add a new thread to the existing discussions on "Backup". Now what I find most frustrating is that I have include the forum for this thread. With the plethora of options I chose "Discussion Groups Home". It obviously posted my thread elsewhere. Incidentally the Windows options only include previous almost obsolete versions such as ME, 98, 95 & 3.1.

Is there anybody out there that can assist me with my problem and if not
point me in the right direction to posting my problem.

Thanks

Hello,
Configuring incremental NT Backup in windows XP Professional
From start menu go to RUN.
ntbackup.exe
Advance Mode
Backup Wizard (Advanced Mode)
Next and specify backup Items
Locate Backup Destination
Next to complete backup wizard (Don’t click finish)
Click Advanced
Select type of backup
Specify verification of backup or click next.
Append or Replace backup
Schedule your backup
Set account information (to run backup as an administrator)
