Backup advice requested for Vista Ultimate

First, I'd like to apologize for my initial post of this to the XP group. I am correcting this
by reposting to the proper group.

-------------------------------------------------

I have tried Cobian (free) and Acronis Home (not free) and neither
of these meet my needs. Cobian was fine except that it tended to hang
when trying to communicate with my NAS. Acronis was just slow, 3 days
to do a full backup (My Documents and Outlook App Settings).
Not acceptable.

Can anyone recommend a good solution that will allow me to create
weekly full (as explained above, only My Documents and one other file are
required for my backup) and daily incrementals and have them stored
either via drive mapping or ftp to my NAS. Both of these methods work
outside of the realm of a backup program so I'm happy with using either.

Thanks

I have a fresh install of Vista Ultimate now so we'll see what happens with Acronis
once I start it up.

10.5 hrs to create a 125 GB backup of what I needed to be backed up. I'm using
the mapping feature of my NAS to create a network drive accessible to my Vista Ultimate
machine. Would using ftp be faster as I've *heard* that Vista is slow copying from
one drive to another. My NAS is hard wired into my router.
